How to create a quote

Jotquote builds an itemised quote from a short description of the job. You stay in control — edit any line, price or wording before you send.
Generate the quote
- Click New quote.
- Describe the job in plain language — what it is, rough scope, any materials, your location.
- Choose the client (or add a new one) so the quote is addressed correctly.
- Click Generate. Jotquote returns a titled, itemised quote with quantities and prices.
Grounded pricing
Jotquote uses your price book, your location and live web data to suggest realistic prices — not random numbers. The more detail you give, the closer the estimate.
Edit the line items
Every line is editable — description, quantity, unit and price. Add or remove rows, insert items from your price book, and adjust the tax/VAT line if you use one. The total updates as you go.

When it looks right, save it, then send it to your client.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit the AI-generated quote?
Yes. Every line item, price, quantity and the wording are fully editable. The AI gives you a strong starting point; you have the final say.
How does Jotquote know the prices?
It combines your own price book, your business location for local rates, and live web search for current prices of third-party items like materials, domains or hosting.
