Getting started
Add and manage your clients
Updated
Your client list keeps everyone you quote in one place, so addressing a quote or invoice is a single click — no re-typing names and addresses.
Add a client
- Go to Clients in the sidebar and click Add client.
- Enter their name, company, email, phone and address.
- Optionally set their payment terms (e.g. Net 14) — this drives the due date when you invoice them.
Scan a business card
In a hurry? Use Scan business card to upload a photo of a card — Jotquote reads the name, company, email, phone and address and pre-fills the form for you to confirm.
Clients flow everywhere
Once a client is saved, pick them on any quote to fill the 'Bill to' block, and their payment terms set the invoice due date automatically.
Next: create a quote for one of your clients.
Frequently asked questions
Can I import clients in bulk?
You can add clients individually or scan a business card to add one in seconds. Each client you save is reusable across every quote and invoice.
Do payment terms have to be set per client?
No — they're optional. If you set them, the due date on that client's invoices is calculated automatically; if not, a sensible default is used.
