Creating & sending quotes
Create a quote from a photo of a handwritten note
Updated
Scribbled the job on a notepad on site? Take a photo and let Jotquote read it. The photo-to-quote feature extracts the work, quantities and any prices, then builds an itemised quote you can edit.
How to use it
- On New quote, choose the Photo tab.
- Upload or take a photo of your handwritten note.
- Pick the client and click Generate.
- Review the itemised quote and tweak any line before sending.
Tips for a clean read
Good light, a flat note and clear handwriting give the best results. You can always edit the line items afterwards, so a rough read is still a big head start.

Frequently asked questions
What kind of photos work best?
A well-lit, flat, in-focus photo of clear handwriting reads best. Typed notes and printed lists work too. You can edit anything the AI gets wrong.
Is the photo stored?
The photo is used to generate your quote and is not published anywhere — only you and your client see the finished quote you choose to send.
