Set up and use your price book
Updated
Your price book is a list of the services and items you quote most often, with their unit and rate. It makes quoting faster, keeps your pricing consistent, and the AI reuses these exact rates when it spots a matching service.
Add your items
- Go to Price book in the sidebar.
- Click Add item and enter a name, unit (e.g. hour, page, m²) and rate.
- Save. Repeat for your common services and materials.
There's also a built-in standard set of common items you can copy into your own list with one click, then adjust to your rates.
Use it in a quote
In the quote editor, use the From price book picker on any line to search and insert an item — its description, unit and rate fill in automatically. You can still edit the line afterwards.
Why it matters
When you quote consistent prices, you look professional and protect your margins. The price book is also one of the inputs the AI uses to ground its suggestions — see how to create a quote.
Frequently asked questions
Does the AI use my price book?
Yes. When the AI recognises a service that matches a price-book item, it reuses your exact unit and rate instead of guessing.
Can I edit a price after inserting it?
Yes — inserting from the price book just pre-fills the line. You can change the description, quantity or price for that specific quote.
