I can't generate a quote

If the Generate button isn't producing a quote, it's usually one of these three things.
1. Finish your business profile
Jotquote needs your business name, trade and location to generate accurate, local pricing. If any are missing you'll be prompted to complete them in Settings first. See getting started.
2. Check your monthly quote limit
Each plan includes a set number of quotes per month. If you've hit your limit, generation pauses until the next period — or you can upgrade your plan for more.
3. Give a clearer description
The AI works best with a little detail: what the job is, rough scope, any materials, and your location. A one-word prompt gives a thin result; a sentence or two gives a strong, itemised quote. See how to create a quote.
Still not working?
Occasionally a generation can time out — just try again. If it keeps failing, email support with what you typed and we'll investigate.
Frequently asked questions
Why am I asked to finish my profile before quoting?
Jotquote uses your business name, trade and location to ground pricing in your local market. Completing those once in Settings unlocks accurate quote generation.
What happens when I hit my quote limit?
Generation pauses until your next monthly period resets, or you can upgrade to a higher plan for a larger monthly allowance.
