Invoices & getting paid
Track invoices and mark them paid
Updated
Once you start invoicing, the Invoices tab keeps everything in one place so you always know who owes you what.
See all your invoices
Open Invoices in the sidebar for a list of every invoice with its customer, amount, issue and due dates, and a status badge. Filter by Paid, Due or Overdue, sort any column, and search — plus headline totals for invoiced, paid and outstanding amounts.
Know when an invoice is opened
Like quotes, invoices are sent as tracked links — you're notified the first time a client opens one, so you know your invoice arrived and can follow up if needed.
Mark an invoice paid
- Open the invoice (or use the Invoices list).
- Click Mark paid once the money lands.
- The status flips to Paid and it's removed from your outstanding total.
Chasing late payers
For invoices that slip past their due date, our blog has polite, copy-paste reminders — see how to ask for payment politely.

Frequently asked questions
How do I mark an invoice as paid?
Open the invoice and click Mark paid once you've received the money. Its status changes to Paid and it drops out of your outstanding total. You can mark it unpaid again if needed.
Can I see which invoices are overdue?
Yes. The Invoices tab has an Overdue filter and shows a status badge on each invoice, plus totals for what's been invoiced, paid and is still outstanding.
