Convert a quote into an invoice
Updated
Once a quote is accepted, you don't need to rebuild it as an invoice — Jotquote converts it for you, carrying over the line items, totals and client details.
Convert it
- Open the accepted quote.
- Click Convert to invoice.
- Jotquote allocates the next invoice number (e.g. JQ-0001) and sets a due date from your payment terms.
Only valid quotes
A declined or expired quote can't be turned into an invoice — convert it from an active or accepted quote so the numbers always match what the client agreed.
Send and track it
Use Send invoice to email the client a link, or share it via Copy link or WhatsApp. The client sees a proper invoice with the due date and your How to pay details. You're notified when they open it, and you can mark it Paid once the money lands.
Set up the payment details that appear on the invoice in invoice payment details, and choose the right deadline with payment terms.
Frequently asked questions
Does the invoice keep the quote's prices?
Yes. The invoice reuses the accepted quote's line items and totals, so what you bill always matches what the client agreed.
How are invoices numbered?
Jotquote assigns a unique, sequential number per workspace (such as JQ-0001) automatically when you convert a quote.
